The Darlinghurst and Potts Point area has an extensive selection of brunch spots. Tucked away along Victoria Street is Tuyo, a small hole-in-the-wall-style cafe serving up what I think is one of the best Potts Point brunch menus.
As a local to the area, I have been to Tuyo Potts Point on more than one occasion. Below are my favorites from their brunch menu.
Acai Bowl
The Acai Bowl is my favorite item on the menu. The serving is just big enough, and I genuinely appreciate the blend of the granola, fresh fruits, and the acai itself. It is my go-to breakfast after a morning run and perfect for the summer weather.
Orange Vanilla Pancakes
The pancake dish was almost too pretty to eat! The pancakes themselves were fluffy, soft, and freshly made. The meal was garnished with seasonal fresh fruits, crumble, homemade berry compote, and maple syrup. This menu item is a delicious choice if you’re feeling a bit more peckish as the serving is generous.
Fried Chicken and Waffles
This dish is the current brunch special (as of this article’s writing on March 3rd, 2021). Who doesn’t like fried chicken and waffles?. Fresh greens and avocado pieces top off this menu special served at Tuyo Potts Point. Spicy mayo garnish finishes off this dish. I enjoyed this and hope it stays on the menu.
Sexy Belly Burger
The Korean cuisine-inspired sexy belly burger is another top choice if you’re hungry. The burger features a slow-cooked piece of pork belly that is pan-fried and served with Korean kimchi, lettuce, spicy soybean paste, carrot, mint, coriander, & spring onion with Asian dressing Served with chips.
The ambiance at Tuyo Potts Point is laidback. The service is always impeccable, and the location of the cafe makes it perfect for a relaxing weekend with your brunch crew.
