Silks Restaurant Crown – Cantonese Fine Dining in Sydney

silks restaurant crown sydney review

If you are looking for a restaurant with an unbeatable view, Silks Restaurant at Crown Sydney is the place to go! The Cantonese Cuisine is exquisite and I enjoyed every minute of my experience.

First off the decor is simply stunning, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing an unobstructed view of the Sydney Harbour. The restaurant is also quite spacious, so there’s plenty of room to move around and enjoy the amazing views.

The menu at Silks Restaurant is extensive and offers a wide variety of Cantonese dishes including all your Cantonese dish staples. Here’s what we had

Entrees

Trio of Dumplings – Prawns and Chive, Scallop and Lemon Myrtle and Jade Skin Vegetarian Dumpling

The dumplings were the right way to start off the meal, with the trio providing a good variety of flavors and textures.

Mains

Roasted Maremma Duck

Served with pancake, cucumber, leeks and hoisin sauce. The duck was cooked perfectly and went so well with the pancake and hoisin sauce. Absolutely delicious! I mean, how could one go wrong with duck pancakes?

Sweet and Sour Pork

The sweet and sour pork was cooked with dehydrated lychees and mandarin oranges which elevated the sweet and sour sauce. The pork itself was tender and coooked just right.

Australian Wagyu Beef

The beef was cooked with black truffle, pumpkin, and wild mushroom. The beef was so tender and flavourful, it melted in my mouth.

Stir-Fried Clams

The clams were cooked in XO Sauce and served with crispy noodles. The clams were cooked perfectly and went so well with the XO sauce. The crispy noodles were a nice touch.

Stir-Fried Vegetables

The vegetables were stir-fried in garlic and ginger. It was great to have something lighter on the side to pair with all the meat dishes.

Desserts

Pink Guava with Sago and Coconut Kaffir Lime Served on Dragon Fruit

This was my favorite dessert of the night! The guava was so sweet and juicy, while the sago and coconut added a nice crunch.

Mango Pudding, Compressed Watermelon with Mango Pearls

The mango pudding was rich and creamy, while the compressed watermelon added a nice sweetness and crunch.

Final Verdict

If you are looking for a Cantonese fine dining experience with amazing views, Silks Restaurant at Crown Sydney is the place to go! The food was exquisite and I left feeling very satisfied.
