Best cafes to try in Potts Point
Recommended cafes and coffee shops in Potts Point

Located at the fringe of the central business district Potts Point boasts some of the best cafes to either perk you up or keep you going for the day. As someone who is now permanently working from home, I very often need both (!).

So as a Potts Point local, I feel it’s my civic responsibility to share what I believe to be some of the best cafes in the area.

1. Tuyo Potts Point

A superb little cafe is one of the best cafes in Potts Point that boasts a diverse mixture of customers from tourists, backpackers, and locals alike. The cafe serves hearty yet healthy food and a team of friendly staff.

3. Side Note

Side Note Cafes Potts Point

I am new to the Potts Point area and found this tiny hole-in-the-wall café while running; I instantly felt welcomed by the friendly café waiting staff. The coffee was one of them, and that I tried out the Bacon and Egg “Sarnie” (i.e., Sandwich), which was delicious. The seating outside the café is also an excellent spot to watch the hood’s hustle and bustle.

4. Chapter E

Chapter E Cafes Potts Point

If you are looking for something a touch different while trying out cafes in Potts Point consider Chapter E. They are an authentic Middle Eastern café located on Darlinghurst Road. I went there for brunch, the coffee and staff were superb. The menu was also very reasonably priced for a city cafe. If you’re looking to eat, note that the café is sort of cozy. My food recommendation would be the Acai Bowl.

5. The Rusty Rabbit

The Rusty Rabbit Cafes of Potts Point

The Rusty Rabbit Cafe is found at the midpoint between Potts Point and Darlinghurst. Aside from being a strong contender for one of the best cafes in Potts Point, this cute little find also has some of the best pancakes in town! I had the sticky date and butterscotch pancakes topped off with ricotta, berries, and passionfruit, and it had been sublime!. an excellent little spot not just for that mid-day pick me up but also if you’re looking to brunch on the weekends
